Nollywood comic actor, Francis Odega, has denied allegations that he maltreats his wife and daughter and also kicked them out of his house.
A video emerged on social media last week showing the actor throwing his wife and daughter and their property out of his home. In another viral video, his daughter was seen appealing to Nigerians to help her prevail on her dad to pay her school fee and stop maltreating her mother.
A family source who claimed to be the actor’s sister-in-law also corroborated the daughter’s claim.
But in his reaction, coming four days after the video of his wife went viral on social media, Odega of ‘Gerarahere’ fame posted a video on Instagram on Sunday to debunk the allegations.
He said everything his daughter said in the video must have been scripted, saying he believes his daughter couldn’t have said that because she knows how much he cares and loves her.
The actor, who noted that all the allegations against his person must have been prompted by the irreconcilable differences he had with his wife, claimed that he had bought over four cars for his wife in the past and also gave her millions of naira to buy property, but all went down the drain.
Odega added that he pays his daughter’s school regularly and has never defaulted in the payment.
“This is a woman I gave N7 million with her mom to purchase a property for me, till now I’ve not seen the property.
“Just last term I paid N900,000 as my daughter’s school fee and this is a new term which started just last week and no one has asked me for a new school fee.”
He said he is not happy with the allegations and wondered why his wife whom he has done so much for would take to social media to tag him as an irresponsible father.
He posted the three-part video on his IG page and captioned,
“For those of you judging me without hearing my own side of the story, this is the little I can say for now.”
