Remilekun Khalid Safaru, better known as Reminisce or Alaga Ibile, shared the surprising reason he entered the Nigerian music industry.
During an episode of the *I Said What I Said Podcast* with hosts Jola Ayeye and FK Abudu, Reminisce spoke openly about his career and personal experiences.
He explained that his desire to achieve fame and buy a “Tiny Light” Camry inspired him to pursue music.
He said, “When I started music, all my friends were doing G. I came for the Tiny Light Camry, the one that ‘G boys’ drive. That was my desperation; I just wanted to blow and buy a Tiny Light Camry.”
Reminisce also talked about the early days of his career, revealing how he managed his finances. He shared, “My first big car? My manager brought it to the house. I didn’t buy it. I didn’t buy furniture; in fact, we were sleeping on a bed without a frame. I didn’t spend all the money I was making; I was saving it and shooting videos.”
He admitted that he was worried his success might not last long. “I was keeping all my money because I thought it was going to end in the year,” he said.
