Rising Nollywood actress, Juliana Olayode better known as Toyo baby has been called out by fans for lying that she is a virgin.
The actress who shot into limelight after her role in Funke Akindele’s Jenifa’s diary had in the past gone public, saying that she was proud to be a virgin.
In one of her Interviews with Gemwoman Magazine, Toyo baby as she is fondly called, opened up about her budding career and her role in the Jenifa’s diary series.
The actress said that it’s not only about acting the saintly role in movies but in reality, she is a virgin.
“I am a strong advocate of sexual purity! It goes beyond the screen for me, that is who I am in reality.
“Being a virgin is not ‘old-school’, it’s actually trending and if sex, pornography, nudity, homosexuality, and the likes can be discussed freely without apologies, why then should we be quiet about virginity and sexual purity?”
However, Olayode released a book titled ‘Rebirth‘ recently and fans of the actress were shocked at finding out that she was not a virgin has she had made many to believe.
She revealed in her new book that she lost her virginity at the age of 17 to her music teacher.
Juliana gave a detailed narration of how she lost her virginity to her married music teacher at 17, how he brainwashed her into believing he would marry her.
“So, we went back into the room, and it happened. It was a painful experience for me. I cried at different points and he kept apologising, begging me to keep my voice down lest they think he was raping me. He told me to relax and bear the pain. In his words, “do not be a weak woman”. That got me because I hated feeling or being treated as weak. I asked for a break. He tutored me some more and tried again until he finally got through.
“It was not anything like he had told me it would be. I saw no clouds, I made no sounds, I felt nothing special. It was painful all the way, but it was obvious he was satisfied. When he was done, I checked the bed for blood. I screamed! There was no blood! He told me that not all virgins saw blood. I was so confused but chose to believe him anyway.
“Soon after, he slept, and I was there crying. Why didn’t I see blood? Even if not all virgins see blood, why should I be on that list? How would I tell the story of losing my virginity without blood? Who would believe me that I was actually a virgin?”

abbeylanre_: No one takes controversial people seriously. This is what happens when you talk about things you have no business taking about. Do you owe us your virginity status?

olu.praise: @olayodejuliana the book is actually good thou have not finish reading it, but am concern you revealed too much details and info about your experience especially the way you lost your virginity and considering your present status in the entertainment industry I hope it won’t affect your work.
olasunkanmy_ :But u for kwn say men are deceitful now….. U just lose ur virginity to common secondary sch teacher…… Well all the same u fyn pass Carolina wey no get line…… U rock it….. Love ya!!!
U could av used ur “true story” to inspire the world from the outset…..even far more than ur fictional virgin story. We all mk mistakes. I hope this doesn’t shake many people’s faith/trust in humanity- No human is an idol….we are all human first, before other things. And to the disappointed many, there are still unmarried adult virgins out there…they just don’t make noise about it.
mercyagbaosi@babyblack900:,wen she said, yes I’m a virgin, I was so stunned, she should be like 26, and I was thinking and saying to myself in my mum’s voice, Anuoluwa shey u see ur life outside, she looked like a role model to every other young virgin out there. I lost it at 22and looking at someone who still has hers, at 26, chai shame catch me too.
babyblack900@mercyagbaosi: you lost it at 22… you tried. How old do you think @olayodejuliana is? Don’t let makeup deceive you. I’m sure she’s in her early 20’s which is about the same time you lost yours. So why initially burry your head in shame?
olujidemuheeb1: Me, my instinct no dey fail me Toyo Baby too good to be true but u look too innocent….lesson don’t judge book by its cover.all the same still like u as a fan cos of your modesty & new life
