Nollywood actor, Tito Harrison, has opened up about the darkest period of his life, revealing how his wife, Tayelolu Ejire, stood by him when he lost everything to illness.

Speaking during an appearance on Biola Bayo’s talk show, Talk to B, Harrison shared a deeply personal account of his battle with liver disease and chronic ulcer, which nearly cost him his life and left his family in dire straits.

In the candid interview, Harrison expressed heartfelt gratitude to his wife, calling her the greatest blessing in his life.

He reflected on the unwavering support she offered when others had walked away.

In his words: “The luck I had was my wife, Tayelolu Ejire. It’s good to have a good wife in life. If I come back to this life, I will marry my wife again. Everybody left me but that woman stood. We sold everything we had. When we couldn’t pay hospital bills, my wife said ‘baby, let’s sell the house, we need you. The head that provided that one will provide another one.”

Harrison detailed how he was forced to sell all his possessions due to the overwhelming cost of medical treatment. It was his wife who encouraged him to sell their home to save his life, demonstrating a level of devotion that left a lasting impact on him.

He also described her not just as a wife but as a mother figure. According to Harrison, her selflessness was evident in the way she protected his dignity, even in hardship.

“She was a mother. If you have a wife that has decided to live and perish with you, that woman will take money and give to the children and tell them to come and thank me, your daddy gave me to give you. Oh God, if Taye wasn’t in my life, how would I have survived? I don’t know. She was Godsent.”

The actor added that his wife’s loyalty stems from how he treated her during better times, saying she reminded him that he had always taken care of her when things were good. Her actions, he said, proved she was truly heaven-sent.
