How I became reigning ‘Mr Africa International’ – BBNaija’s Emmanuel
One of the 11 Big Brother Naija ‘Shine Ya Eye’ season 6 housemates, Emmanuel Umoh, on Saturday revealed that he beat contenders from 24 countries to emerge the reigning Mister Africa International.
Emmanuel disclosed that he still holds the title pending when he hands it over to the next winner.
Emmanuel, who is part of the contestants that strutted into the Big Brother Naija House yesterday made the revelation during the introduction of housemates on Saturday.
Speaking on his accomplishments thus far, the new housemate said he is a model and further explained how he got into the profession.
The 24-year-old stated that despite studying engineering at the University of Port Harcourt, he found the idea of serving for four years before being admitted into the main field as frustrating.
According to Emmanuel, he lacked patience hence his decision to embrace modeling as a career.
“I ran for Mr. Ideal Nigeria in 2019 and won, earning him an automatic spot as Nigeria’s representative at the Mister Africa International competition.
“I also again won out of 24 contenders from 24 countries, making me the reigning Mister Africa International though he was supposed to hand over last year, the event couldn’t be held due to Covid-19 restrictions.”
His high-spirited housemates congratulated him on his accomplishments and some even jokingly knelt in front of him to greet him, but Emmanual who was taken aback by their reactions, bolted from his seat before they could go any farther.
