Tragedy struck at a hotel in Rivers State after a male guest slumped to death after a sex romp with his female lover.

The PUNCH reported that the yet-to-be-identified victims and his lover who has since turned into a suspect were said to have checked into the hotel in Ada George in the Obio-Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State in the wee hours of Wednesday.

However, the female partner was said to have raised an alarm around 2am, knocking on other guests’ room doors to seek help.

According to an anonymous eyewitness, the lady claimed that the victim reportedly took a sex-enhancing drug before their meeting at the hotel.

However, efforts by the hotel manager and security men to save the hotelier’s life failed as he was pronounced dead on getting to a nearby hospital.

Confirming the incident, the acting spokesperson for the state police command, Grace Iringe-Kokom, said that the lady and the manager of the hotel have been arrested.

“Yes, the command is aware of the incident that took place in the hotel and investigation is ongoing.

“Our men arrested the lady and the manager of the hotel. Further developments will be communicated to you,” Iringe-Kokom stated.
