Hoodlums abduct man in Ogun, demand N5m

An unidentified man has been abducted by a gang suspected to be kidnappers on Thursday night in Ogun State, according to The PUNCH.

The victim was reportedly trying to put off his generator in his apartment located in Obada-Oko, Ewekoro Local Government Area of Ogun State when the abductors whisked him away to an unknown place.

A source who remained anonymous disclosed that the kidnappers reached out to the family and reportedly demanded a sum of N5m as ransom.

Further reports revealed that the incident was reported to the men of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps in Obada-Okowho and the report handed to the Area Command in Wasimi.

However, both the Public Relations Officer of the NSCDC, Duke Ogbonnaya, and the Police spokesperson in the state, DSP, Abimbola Oyeyemi, claimed that they had not been briefed on the incident when contacted.

Oyeyemi who vowed to get in touch when he got the hint on the incident is yet to make contact with The PUNCH as of the time of filing this report.
