Hillary Clinton tests positive for COVID-19, husband quarantined

Published

Former secretary of state, Hillary Clinton, announced on Tuesday night that she has tested positive for COVID-19 and is experiencing “mild” cold-like symptoms.

The politician shared her diagnosis via her Twitter, where she claimed that she is “feeling fine” and credited vaccines for protecting against more serious cases.

This is even as she said that her husband, former President Bill Clinton, had tested negative and will be quarantining at home.

She tweeted, “I’m more grateful than ever for the protection vaccines can provide against serious illness.”

“Please get vaccinated and boosted if you haven’t already!,” she wrote.

Clinton’s illness is coming hours after White House press secretary, Jen Psaki, announced that she had tested positive for COVID-19 — and as a result would not accompany President Joe Biden to Europe this week.

According to Psaki, she had limited recent contact with the 79-year-old president, whose advanced age puts him at higher risk of serious illness or death.

Recall that last week, second gentleman, Doug Emhoff, tested positive for the virus after his wife, Vice President Kamala Harris, spent the day with Biden

Another prominent Democrat, former President Barack Obama, also announced that he tested positive for the virus last week.
