A yet to be identified driver was allegedly shot by a Customs official at a checkpoint while travelling from Kano to Bauchi State.
Reports said the driver was shot in the leg following a heated argument with the Customs official at a checkpoint in Bauchi.
It was gathered that the drive disagreed with the official on a fee he was asked to pay and in the course of the argument that ensued, the official shot the driver in the leg.
The driver was reportedly taken to the hospital for medical attention and is said to be recuperating.
