Award-winning singer Davido has been named the Best Digital Artiste of the Year at the 17th Headies Awards, in recognition of his immense influence and impact across various streaming platforms and online spaces.
This accolade highlights Davido’s remarkable ability to connect with his fans and produce music that resonates with a broad audience.
Davido, whose full name is David Adedeji Adeleke, is one of Africa’s biggest music stars. He burst into the music scene in 2011 with his hit single “Dami Duro” and has since solidified his place in global music, especially with the rise of Afrobeat.
Known for his fusion of Afrobeat, pop, and highlife music, Davido has released several chart-topping albums, including “Omo Baba Olowo,” “A Good Time,” and “A Better Time.”
His collaborations with both local and international artists have expanded his influence and solidified his role as one of the pioneers of the Afrobeat movement.
In addition to this prestigious honor, the Afrobeat star’s collaborations, such as the “Ogechi Remix” with Hyce, Boypee, and Brown Joel, have also earned him multiple nominations.
