A Nigerian student died in a road accident while returning from a club in Malaysia, various online media have reported.

According to the Nilai Fire and Rescue Station, 34-year-old Audu Oyaele David, who prior to his death was a student at the President College in Kuala Lumpur, died on the spot after the Proton Saga car he was driving was involved in a head-on collision with a Toyota Lexus car.

The accident happened near the Petronas service station along Jalan Semarak at 8.30 am, a senior fire and rescue officer II Khairollizal Abu Kasim said.

It was learnt that the deceased’s car, which was coming from a nightclub in Taman Semarak to Nilai town, had skidded and hit the road divider before it was thrown to the opposite lane and crashed into another car driven by the woman who sustained light injuries.

“Oyaele, who was driving to the college after meeting a friend in Nilai, was badly injured in the head and right side of the body,” he said in online news reports.

He also said that members of the public sent the driver of the other car, Tan Ley Leng, 39, to the Tuanku Jaafar Hospital as she also suffered injuries in the accident.
