A newly promoted policeman has died in an auto accident in Taraba State while travelling to assume his duty.

The policeman, identified as Yakubu Ali, was recently protected to the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police.
Reports said the 55-year-old had the accident Sunday, 5 August 2018.

His remains have since been laid to rest on Tuesday.
