A Senator representing Bayelsa East, Ben Murray-Bruce, on Monday, said police officers gassed his asthmatic colleague, Dino Melaye while conveying him to Lokoja, Kogi State.
The senator made the disclosure on his Twitter handle a few hours ago after visiting Melaye at the hospital in Abuja.
Melaye who is currently hospitalized is treated for the injuries he sustained after jumping out of a moving police vehicle during his arrest on Tuesday.

Ben Bruce said Melaye who could barely breathe after he was gassed by the policemen had to force his way out of the vehicle.
Just met with @dino_melaye. Very sad to hear what transpired. Dino is asthmatic, yet while in transit, the police gassed him & he could barely breathe. Second time they gassed him, he had to force his way out of the vehicle. Dino literally escaped death. SAD!
