HE USED HIS MUSIC FOR POLITICAL AWAKENING! Shehu Sani pays tribute to late Ras Kimono
The senator representing Kaduna Central, Shehu Sani, has joined many Nigerians to pay tribute to the late legendary reggae artiste, Ras Kimono.
The reggae legend passed away on Sunday morning in Lagos.
The Kaduna lawmaker, on his social media handles, said, Ras Kimono made an immeasurable contribution in the field of arts.
Sani further said that the “Kill Apartheid” crooner used his music for political awakening adding that “he was not a praise singer for the establishment”.
Sani wrote,
“Ras Kimono; He made an immeasurable contribution in the field of arts. He used music for political awakening.
“He was not a praise singer for the establishment. His songs were for the poor and for his country. Adieu.”
