The Police have arrested one Zakaria Chiahemba for allegedly hacking his employer to death with an axe and a cutlass in Edo State.

WuzupNaija gathered that 16-year-old Chiahemba worked as a houseboy for the deceased, one Rejoice Odogwu (51), at 25, Osazuwa Street, Oluku in Ovia North East Local Government Area of the state.

Chiahemba was said to have attacked and killed his boss on October 3, before fleeing with her money, phone and jewellery.

The suspect was, however, traced to Wukari in Taraba State where he was arrested on November 23.

When paraded by the Edo State Police Commissioner, Babatunde Kokumo, the suspect denied he killed his boss.

He told journalists his brother brought him from the village for the deceased to help enrol him in school.

Zakaria claimed that the deceased was killed by some of her customers, who were angry that their phones were stolen at her shop.

Kokumo said the suspect would be arraigned after investigation.
