Eminem is 45 years old. He has had 22 years of illustrious career rolling out disses in the rap world. And he is still the ‘King’; the biggest rap artiste on the planet, according to BuzzAngle Music’s annual year-end music report.

According to the data, the real Slim Shady, born Marshall Bruce Mathers III, sold more albums than any other artist in 2018.

Eminem topped the list with a pure album sales total of 755,027 units. Roughly half of those numbers are attributed to Kamikaze, Em’s 10th studio album.

At 2nd place is South Korean boy band BTS with 603,307 total units, while country star Chris Stapleton settled in at No. 3 with 577,287.

In the streaming department, Eminem ranked 4th behind Drake, Post Malone and XXXTentacion in 2018 at more than 2.5 billion. 760 million of that total came from Kamikaze.  It debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart following last August’s release.

Em also ranked at No. 4 on BuzzAngle’s list of top artists by total consumption — again behind only Drake, Post Malone and XXXTentacion.

Kamikaze was ranked at No. 19 on HipHopDX’s Best Albums of 2018 list.

It’s also worth noting that two of Em’s biggest critics—Machine Gun Kelly and Gucci Mane—were not featured on BuzzAngle Music’s report. Another point for Em.
