‘He raped us all when he raped her’, Tonto Dikeh reacts to Baba Ijesha’s arrest for rape
Human Rights Activist, Tonto Dikeh, has reacted to the arrest of Nollywood actor, Olarewanju Omiyinka a.k.a Baba Ijesha, for the alleged sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl.
Recall that yesterday, Nigerians were stunned after the veteran actor was reportedly arrested for allegedly defiling a girl for seven years.
Tonto Dikeh, who is not just a mother but also a woman empowerment director, vowed to ensure that the comedian faces the full wrath of the law.
She claimed that though the law might try to favour him because of his celebrity status, she would make it her life’s work to ensure that he rots in jail.
The 35-year-old, in a series of post on Instagram, today, April 23rd, 2020, also called on Nigerian mothers to protect their daughters against predators like the Nollywood actor.
She further urged her fans to tag international bodies and the right authorities who can uphold the law.
Sharing photos of the rapist, she wrote;
”anyone with information on this please contact me.. this evil man must not be released not granted bail..
they may twerk the law to his favour as a celebrity, what we shld all do is repost this and tag foregin and local authorities. he raped us all when he raped her… mothers come out they have stabbed us”
In another post, she wrote;
”if the allegations are true. i hope he rots in jail and they do same thing to him when his soap drops.. if this is true i will personally make sure he never sees the light of day. we will together as women stand up and use your voice to make awareness of what this man has done.”
