An attempt by a man to commit suicide was foiled by agencies after he reportedly jumped into the Lagos lagoon.
WuzupNaija gathered that the man, identified as Nurudeen, dropped his I.D card, left his phone unlocked and called his wife before jumping off the 3rd Mainland Bridge in Lagos.
The incident attracted a crowd of passers-by who stopped on the bridge to catch a glimpse of the man while being rescued by some fishermen and officials of the State Waterways Authority.

He is currently being resuscitated by paramedics from the Lagos state Emergency Management Agency.
The reason behind his action is yet to be ascertained as of press time.
In June 2018, Kingsley Gabriel, an undergraduate student of the Lagos State University jumped into Lagos lagoon in a bid to commit suicide but was rescued by officials of the Lagos State Waterways Authority, LASWA.
In a video recording that went viral online, the young man was heard saying they should just let him die, as he repeatedly asked what was in this life?

It was gathered that the student who jumped from Falomo Bridge into the lagoon at about 11:00 am did not give any reason for his action.
