Olajumoke Orisaguna, famously known as the bread seller turned model, has opened up about how celebrities used her rise to fame for personal gain but offered her little in return.

In a recent interview, Olajumoke refuted claims that she received N400,000 from singer Harrysong for appearing in one of his music videos.

“There’s a rumor that Harrysong paid me N400,000 after I danced in his video,” she said. “But I did it for free.”

Olajumoke became an internet sensation in February 2016 after accidentally walking into a photoshoot with British rapper Tinie Tempah, led by Nigerian photographer Ty Bello. The iconic image brought her into the spotlight, changing her life overnight.

Before her discovery, Olajumoke lived in Lagos as a bread seller, earning a modest income to support her family. Originally from Ire, Osun State, she moved to Lagos in search of a better life, leaving behind her husband and two children.

With the help of Ty Bello, her inspiring story gained international attention, leading to a modeling debut on the cover of *ThisDay Style Magazine*. She went on to secure high-profile modeling contracts with brands like Payporte, Stanbic IBTC Bank, and Shireen Confectioneries.

Despite her rapid rise to fame, Olajumoke’s journey has been far from smooth. Speaking about her current struggles, she accused her former manager of mismanaging funds from her endorsement deals and other business ventures.

“People thought I was earning a lot, but I was deceived,” she said, recalling how she lost her wealth, fame, and public relevance over time.

Olajumoke recounted how her fortunes took a dramatic turn, leaving her struggling to maintain the life she had briefly enjoyed.

Olajumoke also accused several celebrities of using her fame to boost their own popularity. According to her, many reached out to collaborate but offered her only minimal financial benefits.

“They gained from my story, but I was left with very little,” she said.
