Tottenham and England striker, Harry Kane, has named Liverpool and Egypt forward, Mohamed Salah, as the best player in the 2021/22 Premier League season.
Kane made the disclosure while answering questions in a recently released Amazon Prime Video Sport episode.
The Three Lions Skipper also named the Egyptian, alongside four others, excluding himself, when asked to pick his ultimate Premier League five-a-side team in an interview with Amazon.
Others are N’golo Kante, Reece James, Son Heung-min and Hugi Lloris.
He said: “Premier League only, good question? I’ll go with Hugo [Lloris] in goal. Sonny [Son Heung-min] up top with Mo Salah.
“I’ll go [N’golo] Kante in midfield.
“I need to put a defender in there, so I’ll go for Reece James – he’s been fantastic this year and he can do some attacking too, so will be going doing an all-out attack.”
On his Premier League’s player of the season so far, Kane said, “I think Mo Salah has been fantastic,” Kane replied.
“He’s had a fantastic start to the season, a big reason why Liverpool are up near the top as well.”
Salah is currently in Cameroon where his Egypt side would face Sadio Mane’s Senegal in the final of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Egypt captain departed Anfield for the continental competition in January with an outstanding form that has seen him net 23 goals and 11 assists across all competitions.
