First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu expressed confidence that Nigerians will soon see relief from the current challenges through the Federal Government’s strategic policies.

Speaking during a meeting with Governors’ Wives at the State House as part of her Renewed Hope Initiative, she emphasized that 2024 holds promise for peace, progress, and prosperity for all citizens.

Acknowledging the efforts of the governors’ wives in 2023, Senator Tinubu urged continued dedication to addressing the needs of vulnerable individuals in their respective states.

She emphasized that despite present difficulties, the hardship is temporary and will dissipate with collective effort, stating, “Times like this calls for sober reflection, hence, all hands must be on deck. Moreover, the hardship situation is temporary, it will soon fade away.”

The RHI, aligned with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, aims to empower farmers through initiatives like the Women Agricultural Support Programme.

Senator Tinubu stated, “The mission of the RHI is driven by my office to complement the Renewed Hope Agenda of the administration of President Tinubu.”

Under WASP, 20 farmers from each of five states in the South East Zone will receive N500,000 each, with a total allocation of N10 million to coordinators in those states.

Additionally, the RHI, in collaboration with the National Agricultural Land Development Authority, will provide training, capacity building, and agricultural inputs to 80 female farmers per state.

Senator Tinubu also announced plans to launch the “Young Farmers Club” in public schools nationwide to promote agriculture among young people. She added, “We will buy-off all produce from the farms after harvest,” demonstrating commitment to supporting agricultural ventures.

Highlighting the “Every Home a Garden” competition, Senator Tinubu revealed that the best garden owner will receive N20 million by December. She encouraged governors’ wives to provide updates on program implementation, stressing the importance of monitoring progress.
