Protesters under the aegis of Citizens For Good Governance have picketed the headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Abuja.
The protesters are calling for the resignation of INEC chairman, Mahmood Yakubu, over alleged incompetence to stir the ship of the electoral umpire.
The aggrieved protesters also accused the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi and Commissioner Amina Zakari of plotting to rig the forthcoming legislative rerun election in Rivers State.
The protesters further alleged that Nigerians have lost trust in the leadership of the commission.
Recall that Yakubu succeeded Prof. Attahiru Jega, after the 2015 general elections.
