The Hallelujah challenge is an initiative of renowned gospel artist Nathaniel Bassey. According to him, it was a divine mandate from God.
The saxophonist said it was a divine mandate from God. “The Challenge is a mandate from God, and I am just a vessel,” Nathaniel Bassey said
“The Challenge is a mandate from God, and I am just a vessel.”
The Hallelujah challenge with the theme ‘Olowogbogboro‘ which officially started on the June 1 has garnered over 50k views on Instagram live video. Olowogbogboro means the outstretched hands of God.
Interestingly, days after the one hour challenge started, celebrities in the entertainment industry also joined.
The icing on the cake is the divine encounters and testimonies that participants share on their social media handles. According to these testifiers, their miracles is an assurance that God acknowledges the sincere praise of his people.
This is not a surprise because the convener had said that God was going to use the medium to establish signs that would outlive generations.
“Beyond all the miracles and testimonies, God is doing something eternal – something that will outlive generations,” Bassey said.

With all these settled, the question is why are the numbers of viewers the main attraction by a few. Why are we chasing shadows when concrete substance should be our aim.
Without any doubt, the challenge has provided an opportunity for people to do something that most would never dream of, which is praise God for one hour. Our day to day busy schedules is one of the excuses available.
In conclusion, there is actually nothing wrong with getting excited about the increase in numbers of people participating but what should matter is the sincerity and the willingness to be touched by the Olowogbogbororo.
There is a lot to be thankful for; the fact that people are experiencing God’s hand in their lives is absolutely worth talking about too.
