Gunmen have abducted a former Medical Director of the Adamawa State Specialist Hospital, Yola, Dr. Saidu Bala.
He was abducted at a private hospital he runs on Monday in the state capital.
An eye witness disclosed that three gunmen took the hospital located at Ngurore village, on the Yola-Numan Highway by storm, shooting indiscriminately and then took the former MD away.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Suleiman Nguroje, confirmed that the abduction of Dr Saidu took place at his private hospital in Ngurore.
“Our men found three used bullet canisters at the scene of the crime and we have immediately deployed men of anti kidnapping squad to rescue the abducted medical practitioner,” Nguroje said.
