Gunmen demand ₦800m for 23 abducted students, staff of Greenfield University

Suspected bandits, who kidnapped no fewer than 23 students and workers of Greenfield University in Kaduna less than 24 hours ago have demanded ₦800m for their release.

According to reports, the development was disclosed by a cousin to one of the kidnapped students, Georgina Stephen.

” Negotiations are going on, the kidnappers have contacted some family members, asking for the payment of N800 million,” Stephen said.

It was gathered that the kidnappers contacted the families of some of the students with their demands.

The cousin, according to Vanguard Newspapers, noted that 20 students – 14 girls and six boys -, as well as three members of staff of the university, were abducted by the gunmen.

She added that the kidnappers have threatened to kill all the students if the ransom wasn’t paid.
