Pep Guardiola has expressed his unwavering belief that the team will secure an unprecedented fourth consecutive Premier League title despite Manchester City’s recent struggles,

The reigning champions have faced a dip in form with three consecutive draws, allowing Arsenal and Liverpool to overtake them in the league standings.

Guardiola, however, exuded confidence during his pre-match press conference ahead of City’s challenging away game against Aston Villa.

He insisted, “My feeling today is that we are going to win the Premier League. If we maintain the levels displayed against Liverpool and Tottenham, we will secure the title again. People might doubt it due to the recent draws, but we will do it again. I acknowledge that it’s not an easy feat.”

Highlighting the historic challenge of winning four consecutive titles, Guardiola acknowledged the difficulty but asserted, “No team has done it yet, so that’s why the difficulty is there, it was last season, it is this season. But if you ask me today what I’m feeling, we’re going to do it again.”

Guardiola’s optimism persisted despite a dramatic 3-3 draw with Tottenham, where City dropped points in stoppage time.

He reflected on the thrilling encounter, which saw Heung-min Son score and then an own goal, Phil Foden and Giovani Lo Celso level the score before Jack Grealish’s goal was neutralized by a late equalizer from Dejan Kulusevski.

City’s midweek victory over RB Leipzig in the Champions League, where they battled back from a two-goal deficit, showcased resilience. Now, facing an in-form Aston Villa under Unai Emery’s guidance, Guardiola remains determined to lead City back to the top of the Premier League.
