Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, on Friday, received the Oba of Benin, Oba Ewuare II and his chiefs at the state government house.
This was made known in the post and pictures shared on the Facebook page of Gloria Eluebo Adagbon few hours ago.
The Benin monarch during the visit at the state government house assured Governor Obaseki of the palace full support and blessing.
The Oba who was in a close door meeting with Governor Obaseki disclosed that they discussed issues of mutual cooperation.
Oba Ewuare II said the Benin Palace was ready to partner with the state government for the development of the state, adding that he was passionate about the establishment of the proposed Export Free Processing Zone in Gelegele, Ovia North East Local Government.
The traditional ruler further hinted that he and governor Obaseki also discussed issues of roads that will link up with the Export Free Zone and the Gelegele Seaport among other things.
Governor Obaseki who was elated by the visit, told the Oba that he has made hard and important decision in the last 70 days in office, and assured the monarch of his commitment to fulfill his campaign promises to the people of Edo state.
