Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle of Zamfara State has sent a strong message to power-drunk politicians in Abuja, Kaduna and other parts of the country allegedly sponsoring terrorism in his State.

He made the disclosure while addressing the Nigeria Governors’ Forum’s delegation led by Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State on a courtesy visit on the release of the abducted Jangebe schoolgirls.

Recall that 317 schoolgirls were abducted by bandits from the GGSS Jangebe,  Zamfara State on Friday. On Tuesday, 279 of the victims have however been released with others expected to follow.

Matawalle, following the release of the girls, maintained that no individual is above the law and any politician whose intention is to disrupt the peace of Zamfara would be arrested.

“These power-drunk politicians cannot stay in Abuja, Kaduna or anywhere in Nigeria and be instigating crisis and be sponsoring terrorism in the state, killing thousands of innocent citizens of the state for selfish interest,” Matawalle said at the Government House in Gusau, the state capital during the NGF visit.

The Governors statement comes after he alleged to know the masterminds behind the recent abduction in his state and stated that the revelations will leave Nigerians shocked.

Matawalle revealed this when 17 Emirs in the state paid him a sympathy visit over the abduction of the schoolgirls on Sunday.

“As we await the arrival of the released kidnapped students of GSSS Jangebe at the Government House today, I want to inform you that there are many revelations in relation to the abduction of these students.”

“Many people will be surprised to hear those people behind the abduction of these innocent children.”

“They are not comfortable with the progress I am getting as a result of my peace initiative and they want to do all they can to sabotage my efforts”.

“I will insha Allah succeed at the end of the day and they will bury their faces in shame,” said the governor.
