Gov. Ikpeazu gives update Abia’s industrialization plans
Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu has given an update on the opening of the shoe and garment factory in the state.
Ikpeazu made this known via a tweet on his official Twitter handle on Friday.
Although the opening date has not yet been announced, Ikpeazu revealed steps taken by his government to ensure Abia becomes the best fashion capital of the nation.
The governor revealed that he dispatched a team to Bangladesh, Vietnam and Turkey on exploratory visits for a planned ultramodern garment factory that will soon open in the State.
Ikpeazu promised that the factory would provide lots of jobs to the people of Abia State upon completion.
“Further to my industrialization agenda, I have dispatched a team to Bangladesh, Vietnam and Turkey respectively on exploratory visit for the planned ultra-modern garment factory we are opening soon in Abia to complement the already established Shoe Factory…
“I am poised as ever to make Aba the fashion capital of Nigeria with automated shoe and garment factories producing in tens of thousands daily. That’s jobs, jobs and more jobs for our people.”
