Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, on Monday, invited respected traditional rulers to the Northern Governors’ Forum meeting.
This was made known in the official Twitter handle of Governor Kaduna @GovKaduna few minutes ago.
The meeting was tagged: “The Northern Governors’ Forum in Conjunction with Northern Trad Rulers Council meeting in Kaduna to Review the Security Situation in the Region.”
The notable traditional rulers in attendance includes; the Sultan of Sokoto, Sa’adu Abubakar, Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II and other respected Governors and elder statesmen from the Northern region.
Governor El-Rufai in his tweets said he wished the leaders fruitful deliberations to advance peace, progress and prosperity for the people.
Recall that the Governor who is despirately in need of help to curb further crisis in his state on December 22, met with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja over the renewed violence in parts of the state.
He had earlier imposed a 24-hour curfew on Zangon-Kataf, Kaura and Jema’a Local Government Areas of the state after his convoy was pelted with stones leaving the vehicles damaged.
