Upcoming gospel music producer and singer Alexander Dapo, also known as Shadrach Ayooluwa Ojedapo, has responded to allegations of sexual harassment made by a young woman named Tolani.

The accusations emerged after Tolani starred in one of his music videos, where she claimed Dapo propositioned her for marriage and sexual favors, later leading to persistent harassment when she declined.

In a lengthy series of posts on X (formerly Twitter), Dapo defended himself, denying the allegations and accusing Tolani of asking him for money in exchange for sexual favors.

“I woke up from sleep to this… When I wake up, I will find a place in my heart to forgive Tolani for all the hatred she has brought me today,” Dapo wrote. He added, “Leave me in peace, and I will keep struggling in my sinful world until I one day find true peace with Christ. If I come to you in truth and you hate me, hate me! But I will never stop seeking God.”

Addressing the harassment claims, Dapo alleged, “You got your money for the music video in full. Then I asked you for sex. You could have ignored or said no, and I would have left, but you asked me for money for sex, and I thought you were interested. I didn’t send you the money because I knew you would run.”

He further accused Tolani of leaving out key details in her account, writing, “Why did you omit this part? What if I had sent you the money? I never called you a prostitute, and you brought money into this.”

Dapo also reflected on his struggles as a gospel artist, describing himself as a flawed individual trying to live a better life. “God told me to make music for him, and he would change my life, but I must do it in all truth. I thought I was the worst person for it because of my sins, but I started with the little I had,” he shared.

The singer emphasized his intention to continue making music for Christ despite his imperfections. “I am not ashamed of my sins… I seek change and follow Jesus Christ because I want me and everyone like me to be better,” he said.
