Google, the world’s leading search engine, has adorned its homepage with a special doodle in a cheerful tribute to Nigeria’s 63rd Independence Day.

The doodle showcases Nigeria’s flag fluttering proudly against a vibrant blue sky, capturing the essence of the occasion.

Upon clicking on the doodle, Google users are treated to a mesmerizing display of green and white fireworks, with the Nigerian flag gracefully forming at the finale of the dazzling spectacle.

Google acknowledged the importance of the day with a message that read, “Today’s Doodle celebrates Nigeria’s Independence Day! On this day in 1960, the most populous country in Africa officially became a sovereign nation.”

It went on to explain the significance of the day along with the cultural play on how Nigerians celebrates their Independence.

Google’s celebratory message ended with a heartwarming note stating, “Happy Independence Day, Nigeria!”
