Mrs Margaret Emefiele , the wife of the governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele, has been released from kidnappers den.
She was released overnight. Family sources told Thisdaylive.com on Saturday that she was rescued “due to the gallantry of the Armed Forces, Police and Security Forces”, in Ugoneki near Benin City and is currently recuperating in Government House, Asaba.

On Friday, Sahara Reporters broke the news quoting a an undisclosed source close to Mr. Emefiele who said that Mrs. Emefiele was kidnapped along the Benin-Agbor Road.
It was also said that the kidnappers have made contact with their victim’s husband and demanded a huge sum in ransom.
