GONE TOO SOON! Rapper HHP dies at 38

Ace South African, music star, Jabulani Tsambo, popularly known as Hip Hop Pantsula (HHP) has been confirmed dead.

According to reports, the 38-year-old rapper died on Wednesday, however, the cause of his death was not disclosed.

The rappers death was confirmed in a statement made available to newsmen by his wife and popular publicist, Lerato Sengadi.

Yes, yes it’s true, HHP has passed away and I am very much traumatised.

“I am with the family at the moment,” she said.

According to Times, two years ago SowetanLIVE reported that the rapper had admitted to attempting suicide three times in 2015 and that he had visited an online suicide website in an attempt to help him get information on how to end his life.

Other stars like AKA, DJ Cleo, Cassper Nyovest and Rouge took to their Twitter handle to write touching tributes to him.

His fans were also no left out as they shared photos and videos of him on their social media handles.

HHP is known for hit songs such as ‘Tswaka’, ‘Bosso’, ‘Mpitse, and ‘Harambe’.

Alongside Proverbs and the late Prokid, he was among the first set of South African rappers who achieved mainstream success by mixing hip-hop and Kwaito genres.

Born September 14, 1980, HHP recently released an EP titled ‘Feels Good To Be Back’

Some of the awards he bagged were South African Music Award for Male Artist of the Year, MTV Africa Music Award for Video of the Year in 2009.
