Nigerian actor and model, Tayo Faniran, has revealed that he has undergone multiple cosmetic procedures to enhance his appearance, including dental veneers, beard work, and hairline adjustments, warning people not to think that God was partial to him.
During an interview, the former Big Brother Africa star spoke candidly about his decision to be transparent regarding his physical changes.
Faniran explained that he chooses to be honest so that people do not attribute his looks solely to natural blessings.
“I am guilty. I am also… I am guilty. I did my teeth, my teeth are veneers. I always tell people when they see my smile and they are like your teeth are so white, I do not want you to think that God was partial to me,” he said.
“So I tell them ‘look, I did this. I have veneers. These are like gemstones, they put it in your mouth, it is luxury. It is part of the things that make me feel like I am growing, grooving. Some people go clubbing, pop bottles and stuff like that.
“To some maybe I want to do shopping, my cologne, I am vain, I am a model. I did my beards as well, I had a lower beard line and my hairline, I was not bald but I just did it.”
Faniran rose to fame following his participation in the ninth season of Big Brother Africa in 2014. Since then, he has built a career in Nollywood, appearing in films such as Gangs of Lagos, Ada Omo Daddy, Labake Olododo, Family Brouhaha, and Who’s The Boss.
