God sent Adam out of Eden for touching his tithe – Pastor Ibiyeomie

The founder of Salvation Ministries, Pastor David Ibiyeomie, has recently shared a unique interpretation of the story of Adam in the Garden of Eden.

According to Pastor Ibiyeomie, God sent Adam out of Eden because he “touched God’s tithe.” This view has sparked lively discussions on social media.

In a video that has gone viral, Pastor Ibiyeomie suggests that Adam’s act of eating the forbidden fruit, often symbolized as an apple, was equivalent to taking what was reserved for God.

He explained, “The essence of Adam’s transgression was rooted in his failure to adhere to God’s directive concerning the tithe.” He further emphasized that tithing is a significant religious obligation and a principle that should not be overlooked.

Christians traditionally understand the forbidden fruit in the Bible as a symbol of temptation that led to humanity’s fall.

However, Pastor Ibiyeomie shared his belief that the act was, in fact, related to tithing. He said this disobedience “set the stage for humanity’s fall from grace.”

Tithing has long been a hot topic in Nigeria, where it has gained significant attention due to outspoken figures like media personality Daddy Freeze who has vehemently condemned tithing.

Recently, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, issued an apology regarding his past statements on tithing. He acknowledged that his previous claim—that Christians who do not pay tithes might not make it to heaven—was incorrect and not supported by biblical scripture.
