Primate Elijah Ayodele, the head of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has reassured the Nigerian federal government that a military coup will not occur in the country. Instead, he predicts an increase in political coups.

In a statement issued by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, Primate Ayodele elaborated that any plots for a military coup would be unsuccessful due to divine intervention. 

‘’There will be nothing like a military coup in Nigeria again from now till eternity, anybody sponsoring or planning it will fail. 

“God has canceled anything called a military coup in Nigeria, there is no need for panic at all, it can’t stand in the country.” he said in the statement

He firmly declared that military coups would never be part of the nation’s history moving forward, but rather, a revolution is on the horizon.

‘’There is a revolution in Africa and Nigeria will not be eluded but it won’t come like a military coup in Nigeria, it will happen democratically. Instead of military officers, it will be carried out by citizens. They will vote out anyone that doesn’t perform well and any attempt to disrupt election processes will be revolted against. 

Ayodele emphasized that the revolution could be likened to political upheaval, a scenario in which citizens will utilize their voting power to oust any political officeholder who fails to meet their expectations.

The prophet also stated that Nigeria has the capacity to rule Africa but bad leaders have made the country lose relevance in the continent.
