Joshua Egesi, a University of Benin (UNIBEN) student used more than 6000 bottle caps to create an 11ft by 7ft portrait of the school’s Vice Chancellor, Professor Faraday F. Osasere Orumwense. Revealing a photo of the portrait on Thursday on his Instagram page, Egesi described the art work as the biggest bottle cap potrait in Africa.
Egesi who is also a singer, a dancer and a painter is a final year student of the Department of Fine Art, in the University.He said he was inspired to make the crown cork portrait after he did an internship with environmental artiste, Ifesinachi Comedy Nwayamnwu.
