Gelato: DJ Cuppy vows to sue Davido’s aide, Isreal, ‘for libel’
A popular Nigerian disc jockey, Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola, aka DJ Cuppy has vowed to sue one of Davido’s aides, Afeare Israel for libel over comments made on contract with Zlatan.
The Bolanle singer and Pepsi brand ambassador – Cuppy’s relationship hit the rocks over an unclear reason which led to Zlatan blocking her on Twitter and WhatsApp for more than ten months.
Israel on the other hand came public with allegations that Cuppy used Zlatan and defaulted in the deal that led to Gelato, a hit collaboration between the DJ and the Zanku master.
Speaking recently on Twitter, Cuppy stated that Israel’s claim was false having consulted her lawyer, adding that he would be sure for making false comments about her.
In a tweet to her followers on Monday, she said “For the record… There have been no breaches of my contractual agreement regarding the song #Gelato as confirmed by lawyers… However, as @IsrealDMW publicly inaccurately declared I owe an artist money, I am suing him for libel and defamation! See you in court Israel.”
“Sadly my Cupcakes,” she said, adding that “I’m not allowed to answer questions or comment further as it is now a legal case.”
