Former Governor of Kano State and immediate past National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, on Thursday made a political comeback by attending a high-level stakeholders’ meeting of the party in Kano.

This marks Ganduje’s first major political appearance since he resigned as APC National Chairman in June 2025.

The meeting, held behind closed doors in Kano, drew several prominent party figures.

Among those in attendance were Deputy Senate President Jibrin Barau, Senator Kawu Sumaila, current members of the House of Representatives, as well as a number of former and serving public officeholders.

While the content of the discussions was not officially disclosed, party sources described the meeting as a strategic step aimed at strengthening internal unity and setting the stage for the APC’s preparations ahead of the 2027 general elections.
