Popular record company, G-Worldwide Entertainment, has welcomed two new artistes, Daniel Ojamomi, aka Ajura, and Oluwashola Oyekan, aka Easy Jay, to the label. The duo was signed to the company recently.
Riding on their reputation as leaders in the Nigerian music space, G-Worldwide has said that its new artistes are here to ‘change the face of the game.’
G-Worldwide’s Head of Artiste Management, Louiza Williams said,
“We are thrilled to welcome Ajura and Easy Jay to the G-Worldwide family. They have all it takes to develop and become superstars in the African music scene, and will be game-changers in dominating and bringing African music to the world. We are extremely excited to have them as a part of the team and are eager for the journey ahead.”
Ajura, who was born in Ondo State, started his career as a dancer and is also a passionate footballer.
According to him,
“I see music as a tool of change, both physically and mentally. I want to use my music to speak for the dumb; my lifestyle to influence the deaf and my sound to open the inner eyes (minds) of the blind.”
Born in the ghetto of Mushin, Lagos State, Easy Jay cites artistes such as Fela Kuti, 2face Idibia, Usher and Chris Brown, as his key influences. Speaking on what he would like to achieve with his music, he said, “In few years, I want to inspire a young boy somewhere in Africa or anywhere around the world watching on me on TV to say ‘I want to be just like Easy Jay.’”
