The funeral prayers for Sina Ghami and Abdul Latif “Latz” Ayodele, close friends and members of boxing star Anthony Joshua’s team, will be held in London on Sunday, January 4, 2026.
The Janaza prayer is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. at the London Central Mosque, 146 Park Road, London NW8 7RG.
Ghami and Ayodele died in a fatal road crash in Nigeria on December 29, 2025. Their bodies have since been repatriated to the United Kingdom ahead of the burial rites.
Confirming the arrangements in a statement shared on Saturday, Boxing King Media expressed sympathy with the bereaved families.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with their families and loved ones,” the statement read.
Ghami was Anthony Joshua’s long-time strength and conditioning coach, while Ayodele served as his personal trainer. Both men were described as key figures in the boxer’s career and inner circle.
Joshua was also involved in the accident but escaped with minor injuries. The crash occurred along the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway in the Makun area of Ogun State after the Lexus SUV conveying the boxer collided with a stationary truck.
According to Boxing King Media, the London funeral will give family members, friends and figures within the boxing community the opportunity to pay their final respects.
A representative of the media outfit said, “Sina and Latz were more than colleagues. They were family to AJ. Their dedication, passion and friendship will never be forgotten.”
