A fully vaccinated woman has died of COVID-19 and her family has placed the blame on people who refused to get inoculated.

Daily Mail reported that Candace Ayers, 66, received Moderna jab in March but passed six months later on September 3 at HSHS St John’s Hospital in Springfield, Illinois, after contracting the virus.

The family accused millions of Americans who have refused the jab of costing Ayers her life in the 66-year-old’s obituary.

Ayers’ obituary read: “She was preceded in death by more than 4,531,799 others infected with Covid-19. She was vaccinated but was infected by others who chose not to be. The cost was her life.”

Describing her personality, the obituary added that Ayers “had a fine knack for speaking her mind, a great eye for detail, an amazing ability to organize, and was quite possibly the best mom, wife, and Gagi in the entire world.”

Candace’s son Marc believes she contracted Covid-19 after she and her husband Terry, who was inoculated at the same time as she was, visited a friend in Mississippi.

UK Metro reports that the southern state’s website shows its vaccination rate is only 42%. The friend whom the couple visited lost her husband to the coronavirus.

However, in an interview with CNN, Marc said, “This all could have been avoided… prevented by a few acts of kindness. They were in a state that had one of the lowest vaccination rates in the country. Getting a vaccine and wearing a mask for others… had this been done, she would be here today.

“It’s been really wonderful to hear from friends and strangers regarding the obituary.

“Because of our story, people have told us they are getting vaccinated,’ Candace’s son said. ‘Of course, there are negative comments as well, but the majority has been positive.”
