The 2025 Globe Soccer Awards held on Sunday night in Dubai produced big wins for Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona and Cristiano Ronaldo, as football stars, coaches and executives were honoured at the annual ceremony.

The awards, now in their 16th edition, celebrate top performers across world football with a strong focus on the Middle East. The ceremony attracted leading players, coaches and football administrators from different continents.

France winger Ousmane Dembele was named Best Men’s Player of the Year after an impressive season with Paris Saint-Germain.

Spanish midfielder Aitana Bonmati of Barcelona won the Best Women’s Player award, continuing her dominance in women’s football.

PSG coach Luis Enrique emerged as Best Coach, while young French talent Desire Doue was named Best Emerging Player.

In the club categories, Paris Saint-Germain won Best Men’s Club, while Barcelona claimed Best Women’s Club.

Portugal and Al Nassr forward Cristiano Ronaldo was crowned Best Middle East Player, beating stars such as Karim Benzema, Riyad Mahrez and Salem Al-Dawsari.

Speaking after receiving his award earlier, Ronaldo said, “My goal is still to score goals, win trophies and keep pushing myself. I will reach 1,000 goals for sure, if I stay injury-free.”

Other key winners included Vitinha of PSG, who won Best Midfielder, while Barcelona’s teenage sensation Lamine Yamal was named Best Forward.

Luis Campos of PSG emerged as Best Sporting Director, and renowned football agent Jorge Mendes won Best Agent.
