Since its inception, the Big Brother Naija reality show has maintained a strict code of conduct, with several housemates disqualified over the years for violating its rules.
Below is a chronicle of contestants who have faced disqualification, underscoring the show’s zero-tolerance policy towards misconduct.
Kemen – Season 2 (2017)
Kemen became the first housemate to be disqualified in the history of the show after he was caught on camera inappropriately touching fellow housemate TBoss while she was asleep. The act was deemed a serious violation of consent and led to his immediate removal from the house.
Khloe and K-Brule – Season 3 (2018)
Both housemates were disqualified after each received three strikes. Their disqualification followed a series of altercations, including Khloe’s use of derogatory remarks about K-Brule’s mother, which sparked a heated exchange. The escalating tensions and repeated rule violations led to their expulsion.
Tacha – Season 4 (2019)
Tacha was disqualified following a physical altercation with Mercy Eke. The incident involved pushing and hair-pulling—acts prohibited under the show’s rules against physical violence. While Mercy received strikes for provocation, Tacha’s behaviour was ruled as violent, resulting in her removal from the house.
Erica – Season 5 (2020)
Erica faced disqualification after a string of rule infractions. These included verbally abusing a fellow housemate, pouring water on the Head of House bed to prevent another contestant from using it, and repeated confrontational behaviour. Her actions were found to be in defiance of Big Brother’s warnings and house rules.
Beauty Tukura – Season 7 (2022)
Former Miss Nigeria, Beauty Tukura, was disqualified for aggressive conduct. During a heated argument, she threw her wig and glasses at another housemate. She had previously shown signs of aggressive behaviour toward others, which contributed to Biggie’s decision to evict her from the competition.
IU Prisa – Season 9 (2024)
IU Prisa was reportedly disqualified even before stepping into the house. Her removal stemmed from prematurely revealing her selection for the show, thereby breaching the show’s confidentiality agreement. The violation led to her replacement ahead of the season’s commencement.
Faith Adewale – Season 10 (2025)
Faith was disqualified after a physical confrontation with housemate Sultana during a skincare task rehearsal. The incident left Sultana with a twisted ankle, prompting Big Brother to order Faith’s immediate exit from the house.
His disqualification adds to the growing list of contestants who have been removed from the competition for breaking the show’s strict behavioural guidelines.
