Senegal emerged champions of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday night after defeating hosts Morocco 1-0 after extra time in the final played in Rabat.
Pape Gueye scored the winning goal in the 94th minute after a tense final that ended goalless in regulation time.
The match was overshadowed by controversy following a late VAR-reviewed penalty awarded to Morocco, which was missed by Brahim Diaz after a save by Senegal goalkeeper, Edouard Mendy.
Despite late pressure from the hosts, Senegal held on to clinch their second AFCON title.
Following the final, the Confederation of African Football released the official list of winners and individual award recipients.

Mané was named Player of the Tournament after leading Senegal to the title, scoring two goals and providing leadership throughout the competition.
Diaz finished as the tournament’s top scorer with five goals in seven matches, while Bounou impressed with a series of key saves to earn the Best Goalkeeper award.
