Fuji music legend KWAM1 loses mother at 105

Fuji music legend, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as KWAM1 or K1 De Ultimate, has announced the passing of his mother, Alhaja Halimot Shadiya Anifowoshe, who died at the age of 105.

The musician shared the sad news on his Instagram page with the message: “Inna Lillahi wa inna ilayhi Raji’un RIP Mama.” He did not disclose the cause of her death.

In his post, KWAM1 expressed deep sorrow, highlighting the immense influence his mother had on his life and career.

This loss comes just days after the Fuji maestro mourned the death of his ex-wife, Alhaja Hafsat Anifowoshe, who passed away on Tuesday, January 15, at the age of 65. She reportedly died of an undisclosed illness.

Hafsat was the mother of Idayat Anifowoshe, who serves as the Special Assistant on Special Duties to Dr. Mayor Muibi Folawiyo, the executive chairman of Lagos Island East Local Council Development Authority.

Hafsat’s remains were buried at Abari Cemetery in Lagos in accordance with Muslim burial rites.
