Nollywood actor, Gideon Okeke, on Friday recalled a nasty encounter that he had with some black market operators at the height of the petrol scarcity that started last week.
The actor, who posted his experience on his Instagram page, narrated how he was ‘fraud shamed’ for having the effrontery to bargain the price of fuel on Friday.
Okeke claimed that some of the vendors further rubbed salt into his injury by screaming into his face that they preferred trading with suspected fraudsters (Yahoo boys) to avoid the kind of stress he gave them.
Their defence was that Yahoo guys don’t bargain price and are ready to make payment for such scarce products.
An obviously piqued Okeke said that the insult was an added incentive to the cut-throat price of N5,000 per litre they are being made to pay to the black market operators.
He lamented that Nigeria is clearly in trouble unlike its neighbour, Ghana which seems to be making progress progress and managing its economy well.
His Instagram caption reads;
“Meanwhile The GHANA CARD is poised to grant it’s bearer/citizens, access across several different land borders. Just the card o. No passport.
“NIGERIA…shebi You can see your Mates? Dey here Dey ragabo us on GIANT vibes.
“Effin’ Midget!
