Rapper French Montana has officially announced his engagement to Dubai’s Sheikha Mahra Mohammed Rashed Al Maktoum, with sources confirming that plans for the wedding are already in motion.
A representative for the 40-year-old artist shared with TMZ that the couple became engaged in June and are “excited about their future together.”
While a specific wedding date has yet to be revealed, both families are reportedly pleased with the upcoming union.
The engagement news comes shortly after French Montana’s runway debut at Paris Fashion Week, where he appeared in 3.Paradis’ Spring/Summer 2026 show. Since then, the couple has been seen together in various global locations including Paris, Dubai, and Morocco, as well as enjoying camel rides in the desert—adding further attention to their evolving relationship.
Montana, whose real name is Karim Kharbouch and who was born in Casablanca, Morocco, was first romantically linked to the princess in October 2024.
Not long after, the two appeared in a widely circulated video that featured Sheikha Mahra giving the rapper a guided tour of Dubai.
Their relationship appeared to become more public this summer, with the couple spotted holding hands during Fashion Week.
According to Daily Mail, Sheikha Mahra, 31, disclosed her separation from her former husband, Sheikh Mana bin Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mana Al Maktoum, in July 2024 via an Instagram post that has since been deleted. The princess and Sheikh Mana share a daughter who is now one year old, though her name remains private.
French Montana, known for chart-topping hits such as Unforgettable and No Stylist, previously dated reality television star Khloé Kardashian in 2014. In a 2016 interview with Elle, the rapper reflected on relationships with partners who have gone through divorces, saying it can be “real emotional” and “a sensitive space for them.”
