Luis Enrique made two changes, selecting Eric Garcia in place of Pau Torres in defence while Rodri starts in midfield ahead of Koke.

Didier Deschamps’ Les Blues who entered the final with a 3-2 comeback victory over Belgium in the semis fell behind in the 64th minute.

A mistake by Dayot Upamecano who came in for injured Raphael Varane allowed Spain to take the lead through Mikel Oyarzabal.

Karim Benzema who led the resurgence against The Red Devils in the semis began the comeback for France two minutes after Spain took the lead.

However, Kylian Mbappé who had not been impressive throughout the game made up for his poor performance with a classy finish in the 80th minute to give France the much-needed victory.
